| I was remembering in 2003 when the Citadel Band came to our church in Des Moines, Iowa, and decided to check to see if you had a website. I was the pastor of that little United Methodist church Jeannie and Rus Lillig attended, and remember the great time we had with the Band playing in our small sanctuary at their invitation! We had a sweet corn feast that afternoon and it was a great time for us. Are there plans for the Band to do another US tour anytime soon? If you come to the Midwest, I am at a much larger church in north Central Iowa now and would love to host! Pastor Gary Van Wert |

GOD’S POETS The prize jewels of any nation Are the philosophers of the heart. How they think is universal, For it’s God who makes them so smart. Most poets tell the truth of life, Though they may wrap it in beauty. It's their passion, not their purpose; To compose is but their duty. Poets have no reason to lie When the truth is always so clear. All that others say and do Is but food for the poet's ear. One merit of a poet's work, Which most people cannot deny, They say more and in fewer words To illuminate you and I. God sent his poets down to earth With words of wisdom and of worth, That they might touch the souls of men And bring them back to Him again. God has always had his poets, Who he watches with love from space. But Satan has his poets too, Who try to lead us from our grace. King Solomon was a poet, Who spoke of love, life, death, and war. I was looking for information when I found your site. I am spearheading a centre for biblical and theological training here and would need your prayers. AMOS S. Australia. |
| I have just been browsing through your website looking for photos of my nephew Daniel Robson. I have been so happy with the way the corps has welcomed and looked after daniel since he came to Birmingham as a student four years ago. It is difficult for teenagers to start somewhere on their own away from their families but I feel because of everyones kindness Daniel has been made to feel at home. We are all extremely proud of Daniel and his many accomplishments and I feel part of this is due to the support he has received from the corps over the years. |
| An old friend of Dave Nicholson, Bandmaster of the Birmingham Citadel Band, who would very much like to hear from his old chess adversary. |

I found your web page whilst listening to your band on the Salvoaudio website. I have been involved with the Salvation Army off and on through out my life and whilst not currently attending the Salvation Army I still have an incredible Love for the God who first loved me. Seeing your web site has uplifted me as much as listening to the Music and Sermons on the Slavoaudio website. God Bless you as you continue to "Fight the good fight!" Kind regards Raymond Wellington New Zealand |
