About People . . .
Karen Hayward and Jean Harris have relinquished their duties as Singing Company Leader and Accompanist respectively after an extremely successful number of years.
Lesley Nicholson has been commissioned as Singing Company Leader and we know that she is well capable of looking after the young people in her care.
New YP Band members:  Lucy Adams, Timothy Kershaw and Thomas Nicholson
New Singing Company member:  Bethany Bovan
New Junior Soldier:  Melissa Brunner
New Songster:  Stephanie Day.
The Mupayo and Gudza families from Harare, Zimbabwe, have integrated well into corps life.  Richard Mupayo has taken his place in the Senior Band, while his sons Marshall and Tapiwa have linked up with the YP Band along with Ramoth Gudza.
Chipo's husband Zedekiah Gudza has also been welcomed to the corps.
Judy, the daughter-in-law of Val and Doug Mee, who recently underwent a serious operation, is making progress but continues to need our prayers.
Charles and Cicely Woods and Andy Benton have experienced extremely trying times.  Please continue to support them in prayer.
It was good to see Mrs Major Jean Pearce and Olive Harding attending our meetings again recently.
Finally, Birmingham Citadel FC are playing very well.  Every time I ask their captain, Band Leader Mark Sharman, how they've got on, the news is very positive.  If their good form extends to the end of the season, they may well be promoted from Birmingham and District League 8 to the heady heights of Division 7.  There is no truth in the rumour that someone from the new Stockholm Citadel has been invited to come over and manage them!
Congratulations to Stephanie and Gavin Lamplough who were married on Easter Monday.
