The two main works featured provide the listener with music and brass playing of high quality.  William Himes' Procession to Covenant, composed for his own wedding in 1998 is high calibre and musically challenging.  The Band clearly enjoys this music, is equal to its musical demands, and leaves the listener in no doubt about its spiritual significance.
Eric Ball's Kingdom Triumphant is a test for both players and conductor.  The Band rises to the occasion with a fine rendition of this SA 'sixties' classic.  Lovely sounds capture the changing moods of the music with its references to the Second Advent.
Finally, the recording is enhanced by the inclusion of Stephanie's vocal solo Power of Your Love; the Band providing sensitive, if occasionally intrusive, accompaniment.  Stephanie's beautiful sound and diction, coupled with her relaxed style, provides listeners with yet another musical dimension to this most enjoyable and relaxing programme of SA music.
