West Midlands Divisional Summer School Anna Lamplough God+1 = ! . . . was the theme of this year's Divisional Summer School under our new leaders Captains Mike and Lisa Lloyd-Jones. Through the week many were challenged and others given the opportunity to evaluate and develop their relationship with God. It was fun-packed, as ever, with over 110 pupils attending - 19 of whom were our lot! Highlights included talent night, Mark Sharman dramatically twisting his ankle in a game of football, TV night - which saw the eviction of Ian Dixon from the Big Brother house, and as always 'the night time happenings' - THE ENDLESS RAIDS!! This year also saw the tearful farewell of Ian and Glenda Dixon who, after giving many years to Summer School, decided to call it a day. A great big THANK YOU to both of them, although there might have been the suggestion of a wry smile on the faces of one or two people who have had to be rightly disciplined occasionally by Ian. As always, Reflections proved to be an unforgettable experience. It was at this time that we felt the Holy Spirit come among us. A great number gave heartfelt testimonies, witnessing to things that were happening in their Christian lives. Many people dedicated themselves to God for the first time, and others renewed their commitments to Him. Along with the 24/7-prayer session, in which we took part, we, the representatives of the youth in the Division, came together and grew spiritually. After a tiring yet thoroughly enjoyable week, the final festival took place at Stourbridge Town Hall, in which the band, contemporary singing, drama, timbrels and dance were elements of a great evening with our friends and relatives.
Camp Crazy - Jeremy Owen
Jeremy had the privilege of attending three Music Schools this year. Here he recalls highlights of those adventures. School finished early for me last term (yippee!!). On June 29th I flew to LA with my Mum and Dad to the home of Craig and Jo Hodgetts and their three lovely children. The fun-filled weekend
