people want to do and be!! Even in the group session afterwards, I still wasn't really sure what the point of it was. I was tired though, after the weekend at Reading with the Band, so I decided to skip the evening session with Steve Chalke and have an early night. Tuesday The morning session was about the Truth, with excellent speakers. Riding Lights Theatre Company hit the message home with drama presentations. The whole meeting was brilliant. I then went into a group session about Grace. This is where God spoke to me in a big way. The speaker, Dotha Blackwood, was a fine choice and opened up the word of God with a rare passion. I met Tom, a minister in Belfast, and we prayed and talked for a long time about our own situations. However bad I think the Army gets sometimes, it is nothing compared with what goes on in inner city Belfast. God came and lifted many burdens in that meeting. In the afternoon we looked at Discipleship. This session helped me to understand how important it is that we never stop learning about what the Bible has to say to us. One of the reasons people no longer attend church is that they lose interest, maybe because they are not interested in the Bible. House groups, cell groups and Alpha stimulate us to remain loyal to God and study his word. I then attended a youth workers' advice session in a one-to-one situation - 30 minutes of chat and advice from a youth worker at the Oasis Trust. This again was very helpful in providing new ways of encouraging younger people within our care. In the evening, Graham Kendrick led us in a time of Praise and Worship and I felt God's presence once more. There were some very 'switched on' people at this assembly, and I was receiving from them as much as from God. I went to bed very tired, but uplifted, knowing that God had been with me and had moved me forward during the day. Wednesday Where has the time gone? These few days have just flown by. The morning started with a session on The Church. We were told where the Church fitted into God's plan. Following that I went to a youth ministries group session - lots of facts, lots of horror stories, but lots of people all working for God in youth ministry. There are so many who love young people and work tirelessly, often without any thanks from their target
