Songsters Visit to Clydebank - 13/14 May 2000

Six hours, one lunch stop and many laughs later (being entertained by the film Notting Hill on the way) we arrived at sunny Clydebank where we received a warm welcome.  After a quick set up and practice it was time for tea and then it was onto the programme for the evening, for which there was hardly a spare seat remaining.

The songsters started the programme with a medley of, He is Exalted and Make His Praise Glorious.  This was greeted with generous applause and set the tone for the forthcoming evening.  The songsters also sang, People Need the Lord, Psalm 150 and Shepherd of My Heart.  Other highlights of the evening included Clydebank Band playing Shine Down, our own timbrels playing to the march Burgess Hill, Lesley Nicholson's soothing piano solo enhanced with the use of multimedia (which was also used by the songsters for the whole weekend) and finally, Catherine Wyles sang the solo titled, Glory to His Name.

The evening concluded with the singing of Revival in the Land, with even some of the songsters waving Salvation Army mini-flags, which highlighted what a great evening was experienced by everyone.
