I’m a bit weary to be honest.
It’s Friday night after a long week and a very ‘cosy’ Singing Company practice in the Youth Room upstairs!
Need to wind down… just be with friends… get something to eat… and touch base with God I guess… might need to find a quiet corner of the prayer room for a while… sorry God… I know I shouldn’t (so often!) put you last…
Hey! It’s all here! Kids are happy playing games and making things. Drinks, food and good music make it easy to chill out. An ‘Army Event’ with no pressure to perform or ‘behave’… it’s ok just to Be here… which must be why there are so many of us… all ages… faces old (in both senses…) and new, from near and far! If I wanted to try and sound clever I could say it’s an informal, creative mix of diverse entertainment, socialising and worship opportunities, well organised by an unobtrusive team!
There… I must be feeling better for it because I just managed a whole sentence with some longish words in without resorting to lots of ……………!!
Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make it happen, oh… and special thanks to you, God… for everything!
