You may well ask yourself what on earth is 24-7/SA - is it some secret code or is it some hidden formula? Well it is all very simple: 24-7/SA is a prayer initiative launched by The Salvation Army throughout the United Kingdom. We are engaging in a whole year of prayer and we are asking individual Salvation Army Centres to pray for one whole week - hence 24-7/SA - praying for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. What a marvellous initiative. The good news is that we are 8 months into the initiative and it is the turn of Birmingham Citadel Corps to engage in prayer for a whole week commencing Friday 1st March through to Friday 8th March.

Prayer is powerful, it is exciting, it can be creative and it certainly does change things. The police in greater Manchester are claiming that prayer is reducing the crime rate in one area of the city and likewise in Nottingham.

We are looking forward with great excitement, anticipation and expectation to see what God is going to do through the 24-7/SA prayer week at Birmingham. Watch this space and see how God blesses those who will be involved in this great prayer initiative.
